Throat, Voice & Videostroboscopy

We care for the throat, tonsils, and voice box for patients of every age, from children with recurring tonsillitis to adults and professional voice users with vocal changes.

Tonsillectomy & Adenoidectomy

What it treats

Recurrent throat infections, sleep-disrupted breathing, and swollen tonsils or adenoids.

How it's performed

The tonsils and/or adenoids are removed through the mouth, with no external incision, at our Surgery Center.

Recovery

Typically one to two weeks, with a soft-food diet during healing.
Most PPO plans cover when medically necessary

Voice Disorders & Laryngoscopy

What it treats

Hoarseness, vocal fatigue, or persistent voice changes affecting speaking or singing.

How it's performed

A laryngoscopy allows direct, in-office viewing of the vocal cords to guide diagnosis and treatment.

Recovery

The exam itself has no downtime; any follow-up treatment is tailored to what's found.
Most PPO plans cover when medically necessary

Videostroboscopy

What it treats

Subtle vocal cord movement problems that a standard exam alone can't fully capture, common in singers, teachers, and other voice professionals.

How it's performed

A pulsing light source and camera create a slow-motion view of the vocal cords vibrating in real time.

Recovery

No downtime. Findings are reviewed with you right after the exam.
Most PPO plans cover when medically necessary

Swallowing Difficulties (Dysphagia)

What it treats

Difficulty or discomfort swallowing food, liquids, or saliva.

How it's performed

Evaluation identifies the cause, with treatment ranging from swallowing therapy to procedural intervention.

Recovery

Depends on the underlying cause and treatment chosen.
